Adoration

This piece is about time shaping intimacy from the physical to the spiritual. While not all connections withstand time or eventuate to your expectations you'll find that abundance is in the experience. It is getting to know life through someone else's perspective and that creating something special that can sustain life and the balance of the truth of someone sustaining the growth of the relationship- and ultimately your growth as an individual. The scorpion represents resilience and transformation as its zodiac sign encompasses those born under with those traits- known for passion- and appreciation when handled with care. While the buried skull is both time passing as many seasons of the cockscomb flowers have bloomed and decayed with it- it serves as a reminder that all of us suppress our true nature. And a lifelong partner or someone else who loves you deeply will appreciate what makes you whole not just what is most appealing or benevolent to them. Most my pieces are nuanced and complex so it was a treat to just paint something simple that many of us I think become aware of the older we get.
