Giving in to fantasy and pleasure is transformative. Opening up and surrendering this hidden visceral knowledge makes one vulnerable. As a reflection, I wanted to depict the beauty of the body. Intimacy enhanced with confidence in the self is a spectacular feeling. It’s one we individually remember. Trembles in the body long after the smoke has cleared. If you’re lucky, you can grow and continue that closeness- but the process is surprisingly painful. I am bringing out a hidden, rampant nature of greed and envy, becoming too entranced in what is presented while losing yourself. Like water for chocolate, this is about a boiling point presenting a transition from the traditional rivaling to the present.
