Nurture

30in × 40in, Oil on Canvas. This is one of my more self explanatory pieces. This is the consequences of not trusting the true nature of the company you keep. As social beings we all blend the lines in the name of many things such as family, history or settings. Sometimes we dismiss cruel intentions just in the name of keeping their company. We're not fools, we only fool ourselves by thinking none of it. The price of not following intuition could be great: and it can't be undone. But sometimes the harshness of reality compels us to hold on tighter to the bonds that hurt us most. But love cannot change the will of another. You cannot change the nature of l'Ilintended people, but you have control over how close you keep them. Like animals, some people are best admired from a far.
