“Reveal” has heavier symbolism. The legs of the centipede create a circle, as the mother does to the nest. This is about guarding our emotions by holding back what we want to open up to those around us. On one hand, self-preservation is wise. It can also impede vulnerability. Communication builds trust and understanding to allow someone into your inner world and thought process. Revoking that becomes poisonous to the one repeating the cycle. The belladonna means to silence out of necessity or paranoia. It’s no way to live. Sweet sentiments have the most bitter taste when held down by pride.

I wanted to explore the duality of loving loudly or silently in these pieces.
